Tasting Notes

Here is wine #1
Bottega Petalo Il Vino dell’Amore Moscato

SAQ : 00884270 $14.85

It’s sweet, it’s sparkling, and on top of the romantic packaging, it’s incredibly delicious. No better fit for Valentine’s Day than this beautiful Moscato from Bottega. The wine offers notes of rose petal, warm raspberries, lychee and peach. The palate is smooth and sweet with a nice, fresh acidity supporting the ripe fruit flavors. The pleasant finish leaves a lasting impression, with the slightest touch of mineral notes. Easy drinking wine at under $15. Drink now.

Wine #2
Burg Ravensburg Riesling 2015
SAQ : 13453762 $20.30
Certified organic, this is one of Germany’s oldest wineries. This Riesling has incredible quality for only $20 and change. The wine has beautiful notes of candied lemon and lime, ripe peach and a salty minerality. The palate is round with a fierce acidity and the slightest hint of sugar. The flavours are concentrated, elegant and the long, bright, lip smacking finish makes this one incredible Riesling. Drink now or in the next 5-6 years.
Wine #3
Cline Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2016

SAQ : 13234746   $22.60

I recently discovered Cline Family Cellars and I must admit I am very pleased with the quality and structure of these sustainably farmed wines coming from California.  This 2016 Estate Pinot Noir has inviting red fruit like strawberries and cherries, and nuances of cedar with soft tannins and a fresh acidity.  The fruit is concentrated, having a subtle influence of oak followed by earthy notes on the refined, layered finish. This is the ultimate wine to share with your Valentine. Drink now or in the next 4-5 years.
